This week I've started the painting and what a mammoth job it is! I've been painting every evening after I've put the little one's to bed and have painted until dark in all weathers sheltering under the veranda in the rain! I do enjoy painting and find it quite relaxing I love to see the end transformation but this is going on and on and some nights I've had to force myself to do it. Anyway enough of the waffle here's some pics what do you think?
Less posh shed more nice summerhouse me thinks!
I love the little veranda I'm looking forward to taking a break on here with a cuppa and a magazine!
this shows the side of the summerhouse where there is another window. There's still I reckon another weeks work of painting to get the outside completely finished. Then we can crack on with the inside. My minds been buzzing with what we are going to do with the inside. Here's what the inside looks like at the moment. It's really hard to photograph as it's quite small! Oh dear not very inviting is it there's a huge amount of work to do in here were going to insulate everywhere to make it warm and line the walls in tongue and grove. It's all going to be done on a shoestring budget so I will be searching ebay and freecycle for furniture. I've managed to pick up a heater on freecycle so far. I'd like an old comfy chair to reupholster and I'm after an old table to use as my desk, there is a handy shelf in the roof space where a plan to stack my material out of reach of little hands!
As for the decor I've decided to go out of my safe zone of pastel colours and go for bright bold colours . I've been really inspired by colour since starting blogging especially by two of my favourite blogs http://attic24.typepad.com/ and http://lavenderhouse.typepad.com/ who both use colour so beautifully in there homes. I'm hoping to inject some real fun colours into my summerhouse the tongue and groove will be white but all my accessories bright colours. Here's some pages from magazines that have inspired me.I love the chair in the above pic and have searched everywhere for something similar but nothings turned up. I've also picked up these folders I love them they were great value to from Asda. I have heaps of paperwork to sort out so these will be ideal.Hope you all had a good week the weather has been miserable hasn't it but I hear that it's going to clear up and we will see some sunshine this weekend I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Hope whatever your up to this bank holiday weekend it's a good one!

It looks great, well! I've always wanted a summer house - I'm not content with a beautiful house and family....I just want a shed to call my own! ;-)
Your summerhouse looks lovely . I think a pastel interior with a big chair and lots of pretty things around you sounds perfect !!
Awwww I am so glad I have helped inspire you to bring a little colour injection into the proceedings :: yaaaayyyy!!
Your summer house looks fantastic now the outside has some colour and I am sure the inside will be just as fabulous. I am trying very very hard not to be too jealous, but OMG I'm afraid I am very green-looking.
Can't wait to see how it progresses, fingers crossed fro sunshiney days and evenings to come

Pop on over, I have something for you. Jane.x
Good luck with all your efforts with your summer house. What fun! I am sorry I havent sorted out the award thing yet but I need some child free time to get my head round putting it on the blog! Thanks for the reference again to colour. I love colour and it really inspires me. I was almost going to go through a white phase (shock) but I realise this is just because it appears to simplify things which is what I want with three kids and 9 weeks summer holidays! However, we have just been to a crap holiday cottage in Cornwall and boy did I miss colour. It was a good experience for me! It showed me that I was on the righ tract after all! Have fun! Love Emma x
I KNEW THAT YOU WOULD DO A GREAT JOB!

Oh Sarah I love It!!! You lucky thing. Wow, it is amazing what vision and lots of paint can do, you won't want to come out when its finished lol. I have decided to strip out our stock come craft room and re decorate... but not a good thing to do with the run up to Christmas, hence no life at the moment and stock in every room ahhh.

Looks really lovely but is someone trying to hijack your space with a pink plastic thing?!!!! I can't see that being part of your stylish decor somehow ;-)
I recovered an old chair that I sit on every day to sit at my computer. You can see it here http://craftyoldthing.blogspot.com/2007/03/new-chair.html
It was easy enough to do.
I love your summerhouse and painting in all nice happy and bright inside will be perfect. That chair looks like it has been covered with a Cabbages & Roses style material ?

Your summer house/studio looks wonderful. Mine is our old garage - perfectly usable but not as pretty as yours!
That looks gorgeous. Can we see some pictures of the inside if it's finished...please?
Thanks for stopping off at my blog. I'm going to enjoy reading back through yours.
Best wishes
