Oh I do like to be beside the seaside......

Well we're back from our holiday in St Ives that we were so looking forward to - and we had a fantastic week we were so lucky with the weather we woke up to blue skies every morning and didn't see a drop of rain. We went with my mum and dad which was great as they got to spend some time with Emily and Elliott which gave us a break. We went to St Ives last year and going back has confirmed that we truly love it there it's a true English seaside town full of character, lovely beaches and the hustle and bustle atmosphere of the town. This is the chalet we stayed in I picked it because the inside was decorated really nice with seaside colours and accessories, there was a big stretch of grass in front of it which was great as the children could play while we sat on the decking watching and then sand dunes to the right.

Mum and dad took Emily and Elliott to Paradise Park so we had a child free day which was bliss we spent the morning here in Mousehole such a picturesque place with hidden alley ways and beautiful cottages on every corner.

I could easily have my own little cottage here. We wandered round picking which one we liked best!

This is me at the harbour, Mousehole has some lovely shops selling local artist's work. We had lunch in a restaurant overlooking the harbour, it was very nice to spend some proper time as a couple.

This is just one of the many pretty cottages in Mousehole.

Look who's coming to St Ives I was gutted it wasn't open probably a good job as I would have spent all my pennies in there! Not a lot of pics of St Ives they're all on my mum's camera sorry!!

Flying a kite outside the chalet Emily and Elliott were fascinated!

Happy Days! Elliott had his first proper paddle and got over his fear of the sand when he ran after a ball and forgot himself! Emily loved going in the sea, last year she was a bit scared this year she paddled right in not a care in the world and really surprised us!

So that's it back to normality we were sad to leave but I'm sure we will return another year.
For those of you interested in what the inside of the chalet looks like you can find it here http://cornishchalet.com just click on chalet in the header bar and the photos will come up.

What a lovely looking place with such a cute name.Your chalet looks perfect. It's weird how little ones are scared of sand, Milo used to be terrified and screamed if it touched him anywhere but Baby G is the complete opposite - he loved it

Sarah, St Ives is my favourite place in the whole wide world!! Very excited to see your photos of it. Husband and I have been sat here oohing and aahing over them! We usually go for a week in December each year, to celebrate our anniversary and stay in a cottage overlooking the beach. Your photos have made me crave the seaside! Husbands uncle lives in Mousehole, such a pretty place. Can't believe they are opening a Cath shop in St Ives!!Thanks for the link to the chalets as well, will check them out x
